In honor of those crazy Grade Sixers who mobbed me in the schoolyard back in '76. (A classroom. Five or six girls sit in desks with their leader standing in front of the blackboard facing them.) Leader: (listing key information into bullet points as she speaks) Does everyone know who Duncan Bradley is? Girl #1: Oooo! Duncan Bradley! That's the new boy who likes to dress up! Leader: Right. Word has reached us from headquarters that Duncan Bradley just bought a brand new pair of sneakers - red velvet! (Excited chatter.) We have been tracking his movements for the last few days and the best place to catch him alone is at the arcade. Stacy, you will act as a scout and stand by the doorway. As soon as it looks like he is coming out, give the signal to Lucy, Theresa, and Darleen. Lucy, you will hold his arms behind his back while Theresa and Darleen pull his hair and rip his shirt. Give him a good thorough shaking and knock him to the ground. Do not leave the scene until all four of you have pinned him for at least ten seconds. Now this boy may mistake your appreciation for violence so let's be careful out there. |
