Sunday Night Movie: The Baby Boom

Sunday Night Movie: The Baby Boom
(Berlin 1945. An American soldier embraces with his German girlfriend.)

Soldier: Now that the war's over, I can take you back to Omaha and we can get married and start a family.

Girlfriend: Wonderful. How many children should we have?

Soldier: Oh, we're going to need a lot of children. Maybe ten or twelve. See, first we have to replace all the children we killed in bombings from the last five years. That comes to about two and a half per family. Then we need some insurance children for the next war. I figure that if we have twelve children, we might get to keep about three of them.
